Cansano is a small mountain village in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, in the Province of L’Aquila. Perched about 2,700 feet above sea level between the Majella Mountains and Monte Rotella, it is known for sheep and lamb farming, handmade pasta, pecorino cheeses, truffles, and wild mushrooms. Our founder’s grandfather emigrated from Cansano to the United States in the 1930s. Through the food, they aim to share the authentic flavors and traditions of their heritage.
